Charity Spotlight: LLS

We are so proud to announce that for the second year in a row, our charity affiliation is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Man and Woman of the Year!

We are affiliating with LLS again for a very specific reason – to help our friend April Sirleaf raise money on behalf of her brave son Andrew, who was diagnosed on 8/3/18 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Thankfully, after several years of adult-dose chemotherapy, Andrew is in complete remission! However, the need is still very much present to continue research to battle this disease. According to the LLS website, “The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man & Woman of the Year campaign brings together influential and compassionate leaders in the community to raise critical funds for blood cancer research, advocacy and patient care. Each year candidates form teams made up of friends, family and colleagues to compete in their local community for the title of Man or Woman of the Year.”
