Marcher Spotlight: Gleny

Some special people need only one name for recognition:

Cher. Sting. Madonna. Prince….and Gleny.

I first met Gleny years ago at a Snuggie bar crawl. The idea was to create homemade costumes made of Snuggies and hang out as a group for the evening. I had never heard of such a thing, and it was an absolute blast. And it was the first of many silly, crazy fun group events led by this fella.

Gleny has been a Moose Marcher since MM3 in 2014, and has brought moose mugs, moose koozies, and even had our friend Paul dress up in a moose costume for MM6 in 2017.

Over the years, Glen has put together bar crawls, mermaid parades, concert and sports tailgates, Groundhog Days, Cinco de Mayos, Tiki Mondays and Headliner pool parties at the shore…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. He gets away with shenanigans that no ordinary guy would…and that just builds the legend of Gleny even more.

With whatever wacky fun happens, though, Glen’s heart is exactly in the right place. He lives life to the fullest and ultimately wants to bring happiness to everyone else, and I’m proud to be his friend.
